ARW Halibut tournament June 17,2017 (Official Results pg.1)

Question,  i sliced the first 2 fingers of my left hand at work Wednesday.  I lost part of the first, the second took 14 stitches to re-attach.  I'm registered for the tourney but doubt I'm going to be able to paddle.  Any issue with my son utilizing my registration?  No kayak experience but a group event probably isn't a bad place to learn, plus it gets him out of the house and off the video games.

I'll show up either way but fishing is most likely not going to happen.

Wanted to get some pro advice on this tourney. Never fished at ARW and never caught a Halibut. Been ocean fishing my whole life but new to fishing in California. Should I try it out?

I haven't even fished the last four or five tournaments I've been to. If nothing else, go to meet a bunch of great people and eat a bunch of good ass food.

As far as the fishing, even though it's a tournament just about anybody there will be willing to answer any questions you have and share any tips to help you out.

Definitely go if you're interested.
