AWESOME!!!    

She is coming back! I was able to visit for a while today. She was definitely excited. She was trying so hard to talk that her mother, Len and I had to ask her to relax.  Talking can't be easy with that thing in her throat. The sparkle she gets and her happy smile are definitely back  Her speech patterns  are repetitive. She is grasping concepts and holding on to them hard. She said on her own that it seems like its been a bad dream. I mentioned the other people that have visited. She said, I like Tracy SC. I like Jeff. Later in the conversation, she had trouble remembering Jeff. Then when Tracy was mentioned, her mind made the connection and her memory and fondness for Jeff returned. This is how it should be. We all trigger memory via associations. I mentioned where I was going fishing this weekend. She definitely knew Pescadero and Bean and they brought her special smile out.  She said, I Love the Bean. I told her that when things clear up more, she is going to be mad she missed Turkey season. She definitely understood that. She said, I love hunting.
Her mother likes to take pictures so I posed for this one.
Jeff was coming to visit shortly after I left, so I'm sure he will have  more to add.

LRM-  This is probably the best picture I have ever seen of you!!  And Steph looks better and better every day!

Visited with Stephanie yesterday before the giants game. They put her in the Nuro chair and wheeled her to the Goldengate bridge window she looked out and she would hardly stop talking the entire time. it took a while for her to recognize me at first but then she would not shut up I was telling her all everyone's names and comments and she was repeating them and kicking her legs like the therapy nurse wanted her to do.
They hooked her up to the EEG again to check for seizures all night last night and all this morning and did not see any so they removed them. her doctor say that she is continuing to improve it will take time for her motor skills and speech to come back to normal. from what I witnessed yesterday her long-term memory is very very good and her short-term memory is not so well, as it took her a while to remember me as well as others. But once She made the association she would smile and say iLike "so and so".  I told her SHULAND misses her and she says I love SHULAND. 👍🙏🏼😢❤️

Wow and beautiful news...what a road...Steph, these crawdad cages need to get wet...constantly praying for a full recovery...
