Good morning Steph. I have a true story that I am only sharing with you.  SSShhh, don't tell anyone.

So I went "cute " perching the other morning, as FM1 would put it.  . A friend of mine wants to go as well. So we head to my local spot. Casting and walking, casting and walking. We cover close to a mile of shore and decide to take a rest and re-rig new grubs since the ones up to there did not produce anything.

So we put are new grubs on and take a rest. So me and my friend are shooting the breeze and are laying on the sand a little past where the water will not wet us at the shore. Just kinda layed out where you have your arm supporting your head and not all the way layed out . And No we are not looking into each others eyes. 

Conversation has come to an end and we decide to head back and fish it again. As we go to stand up I notice there is a baby seal that was headed up to us . He see's that we are not his parents and begins to frantically head back into the sea. 

So I quickly tell my buddy that the baby seal had seen him out in the distance and thought he was the mother and came in to suckle on him.

Thats awesome. Until they start nipping you from what ive heard.

 We are here at UCSF now. Steph is resting peacefully and hopes are high.

Hi Steph,

Right after I bought my first kayak I joined this little fish in chill with a Handline. Up to that point I've only been on a few lakes with the kayak, but hey what could go wrong. I was really nervous, but you were one of the first people to start a conversation and make me feel welcome with the group.

I know this feels like a lot, and I know it's overwhelming, but you got this. Everyone here has your back, is pulling and praying for you.Before you know it you'll be sitting on the beach after a nice day on the salt laughing and having a drink.

We are here at UCSF now. Steph is resting peacefully and hopes are high.

Thanks for the update, Raydon. It is so difficult to see this vibrant, fierce woman down like this for so long. As always, Steph we are thinking about you nonstop, sending you love and good vibes and hope to see you up and about very soon.

Thoughts and prayers for Steph! I haven't met her yet but I always enjoyed reading her reports and posts. You could tell how excited she was and how much she enjoyed fishing.

I'm far from a Dr but doing a little research brings up NORSE. There are lots of other possibilities and I hope they find a cause soon and can treat appropriately.

Steph, Amy and I were thinking of you all weekend.  we went fishing at Rancho Seco with Henry and this crusty old Scott guy, I have a feeling you would have smoked us because the fishing was awfully slow for Amy and I.  at least Henry got to pet a couple fish I caught, when you are better, will you show him how to catch a shark or ray?  He would love that.

they suppressed the seizures for now under the Pentobarbital.  In 48 hours if it fails then they have to start ECT.  No luck yet with the diagnosis yet.  They are doing a microbial test now because the biopsy test came up negative.  One again I'd like to thank you for helping us out and getting everyone to support us through this all.  Your love and compassion keeps us strong.
