My family and I took a trip to Point Bonita Lighthouse this weekend.  While hiking down to the lighthouse, my 8 yr old son spotted some "action" down below.  What I immediately saw was a large blood slick and intense thrashing.  We watched this play out for 30 min as the shark ripped the seal to shreds.  I managed to shoot a grainy cell phone video of some of the attack.  Overall, it was an amazing experience that I may never experience again - at least hopefully not while fishing.  Enjoy!

Even the grainy video make me have total respect for the landlord.

Oh they're in there that's for sure.

Was shore fishing in that cove just before the lighthouse one time and noticed a rotten smell looked up the beach and there was a fat dead 6' shark with big @$$ teeth, thought it was a Salmon Shark but just as easily could a been a "small" GW.

Has anyone (besides Kirk Lombard) encountered a GWS while on the kayak?

I have not had my kayak long enough to go out in the summertime. This sh*t makes me nervous.

Maybe don't fish that point?  I bought a sharkshield and they are ALMOST 100% effective.  I hope I never find out if it works, or they say, I wouldn't want to find out if it doesn't work.  You should check out the chart for ano nuevo.  Tomales has dinky amounts in comparison.:smt006

Hey - who invited 59110 to the party. It was down to just 33546 and then 59110 has to come around. They've tagged ALL of them right so we know where they are?  :smt044

Cheers,
Brad

And we just keep telling ourselves  they are all gone.

I am sure you will end up seeing one on the drone.  That would be cool.
