Just made this.  But with rutabaga instead of carrots, and no celery or jalapeño. I did add some leftover mashed potatoes and a fistful of diced ginger, a splash of buttermilk along with half n half, and a generous sprinkle of red pepper flakes. And black pepper on top. Delicious!

The Cioppino is my go to recipe when I'm able to get most of the ingredients when I'm along the coast. Definitely recommend trying that one!
