Hey Chuck

This is Ariel met and fished with you a couple years ago up by Paradise Cay & rockwall. I'm the tall 6'4" filipino dude from LA but recently moved up to the bay. Living in San Lorenzo now. Hope to hook up and fish with you and buddies in the near future. Hope all is well with you.

Ariel

Ariel,  welcome to the neighborhood.  How can I forget that big halibut you caught at a Paradise.  Very nice!

We'll have to hook-up for sure.  What are your days off?

Damn. I'm scared to know what your inboxes look like.
Now your making me wish I didn't purge my PMs. The rarest one I have left is OAP coordinates from chucke and a Russian drift info from Guitarzan - bot in 2009.

My first PM was to Etiene but this is my 3rd. I didn't take  him up on it when he mentioned something about a place called Shelter Cove! I could have been part of the original crew!  :smt010  :smt005

Jim,

We will probably end up staying at a campground since my friends property does not have toilets etc.  The campground will probably be better.  If you want to join us you are welcome.  I understand that there are also some small hotels in the area.  We will drive up either Thursday late or Friday early.  We will have cell phones (831) 277-7161 and VHF Ch 69 when on the water.  I understand the CG is small so you should be able to find us if we are around.  I have a Blue Honda Odyssee and we will have a yellow and a blue kayak plus some additional vehicles and yaks.  If conditions are really rough we will either crab inside the cove and/or shore fish.  If it is really ugly, we might just bail but that will be a last resort and a last minute call.

It should be lots of fun either way, a good group of guys and the potential for good fishing and some adventure.  Hope to see you up there.  You may also want to check out the Shelter Cove opening day string as several others from the club may show up also http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/bb/index.php?topic=7107.0 .

Hey there,

I am 95% sure I will be able to make it.  But I don't have a yak and was looking to borrow one.  What kind of yaks do you have?  I am looking to try either a prowler 13/15 or a tarpon 140 since that's what I'm looking to buy in the future.

I'm no hunter - not yet al least. But I'll be learning as much as I can when I get there.

*There's a few guys in this site that are bow hunters...you might want to call them out and hook up with them. We did a paddle in camping trip at Lake Sonoma last year and some of the guys brought their bows with 'em (for the pig hunt)

A few that I know of (NCKA bow hunters) = Juan (Mako), Chucke, Lino (Tailwalker) and Jonesz

Mine was from Bones aka "Bert", took me under the wing!!! haven't seen Bert since a clear lake event a long time ago, hope your doing well dude!!! I joined May 2013, after meeting MR. BUSHY at the santa cruz dock launching. then saw Bushy again in his power boat!!! I waited 3 months for first PM and lingered the sight prior to becoming a complete nuisance!!!!! Lmao!!! New folk cruise the past threads like I did, bashing kayak shops sucks bad rep for us. my 2c

Eric

A few of us from the Sac area will be going to the SC hook up. Since you don't have a radio yet you can call me on my cell. I plan on arriving at the harbor around 5:30-6:00. If you come out later then just head out to the mile buoy and you'll see around there.

See you there bro,

Bert
