I have the reel, but have never fished with it. Any advise on how to rig it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Al

100lb+ mono spooled onto the handline wheel.  Be very, very careful not to allow the line to tangle/bird's nest off the original spool. Tie on a decent swivel and you're all set to use whatever terminal tackle you like.  Use a rubberband to keep things neat for storage.

Ask Shoprat to help you, he's a pro at spooling handlines by now!!!! :smt044

On serious note:

Trying to remember who bought & brought a WHOLE spool of HD line last time, and shared it with others; I'm wondering if he still has anymore left that maybe you and others can use...

for rigging, most 'Carolina rigged" a chovie or herring with a 1oz-2oz egg sinker and a 1/0 hook; and slow drifted it around the wall...

Thanks Danski! I drew a blank trying to remember who brought it... hehehe

Coolio.... wasnt sure....

Of course! use them if you got them.... this really isnt any requirement on the handreel, as long as retrieving/spooling the line is done by hand; and, its optional to join the MBF, this is more about the fun of catch a fish old skool style... trust me, you have more fun fighting the fish on a level play field... hehehe

Sounds like fun ! I'm in

Glad you can come out and play with the gang!!

Okay folks... here's my Paypal email address:

[email protected]

Please pay the amount as a "gift", so the folks at paypal wont dig into the MBF amount.

Remember, its

$10.00 for the MBF only (you have your own handline reel)

or

$35.00 for the MBF & a Hand reel
