Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

Nick and I got up bright and early and were the first NCKA-ers in line at the gate! We got our cages ready and caught up with the early risers while we waited for the sun to show. The rangers came relatively early to open up and in came a long line of cars decorated in kayaks. I loaded my kayak and was finishing getting ready when I realized I forgot my booties. So luckily for me I got to demo one of the Kokatat dry suits from Dan at Headwaters! We headed out and I dropped my 3 cages kinda all over. My game plan was to just hang out there until 9:45 or so and give myself enough time to prep my fish I was frying for the potluck.

I checked my cages 15 minutes after setting them and the first had 2 dungies with one being a keeper. I checked the next cage and it was heavy! It had 8 females that were just undersized and one jumbo male! I was stoked and shocked that so many crabs had entered so quickly. The 3rd had a couple of rock crabs so I moved it further out in search of sandy bottom. I stayed out for an hour and a half and kept moving my cages closer to Nicks after seeing him pull up a full cage with multiple jumbos hehehe! I checked mine before going in and got another nice one and a clicker! I measured my biggest crab and it was 7.02 inches so I took the lead for 30 minutes or so!

I floured, battered and panko'd my sturg/stripe/butt SPB combo and hung out on land in great company until I got it all done at 11:50ish! I hopped on my T13 and paddled hard to my cages. All 3 cages were loaded and each one had a jumbo inside... And one was a real biggun! They all had other crabs that were clearly keepers, but since I had no idea how much time I had left before weigh in closed, I threw the full cages back in the water. I had no watch or phone and no one was responding to me on the radio asking for a time check so I paddled my little heart out to get back in time. I ran up to the weigh in table with my two biggest crabs and was so excited to bring something big to the table considering I'm lucky if I even catch something in most tourneys I enter. It measured out to 7.4 inches and weight 2.47 lbs. When i saw that I knew I had a good chance at placing, but figured someone had gotten something bigger. Well it was big enough to secure the win and I can't tell you how stoked I was when I found out! Thank you Victor and Narissa for all of your hard work and everyone else who helped make Crabfest happen! I was stoked to walk away with a feelfree cooler from Dan at headwaters, a collapsible crab trap and a sweet promar hat for first place. I didn't even think free tournaments had prizes so that was really awesome. Thanks to the rad sponsors! The pot luck food was incredible and I wish I got to eat more of it. That abalone chowder was to die for!! Thanks Hojoman for all the great pics! Had a great time and stoked to see how crabby it is out there right now!

Yes Victor a silver Jeep with a trailer and a brown pop up tent on top I believe.  I will be at AOTY next weekend if someone is there that lives close to them or if they go. Thanks!
