There are a few Boat tournaments going on this weekend in that area. Be careful.

I went out Saturday from Balden's Landing in Montezuma Slough.

Water temp 43F
Depth 26-32 ft

A few small bites then a small white sturgeon. Overall I didn't catch anything worth taking a pic of so it was a skunk.

I did spend a really nice day on the water with my dog Harry. So that's always a bonus.

I was out yesterday in Cache slough and it was dead all the way into liberty. Hardly marked any Dino's! Only one pump on eel and missed that one.  Buddy of mine fished near the fleet on Saturday and it was dead out there as well.

I spent the day at McNear's and it was dead there as well. Couple shaker stripers was all I saw.

Cheers,
Brad

Yesterday afternoon was hot in SPB! I went 1 for 3 on sturgeon and one of the ones I lost was huge and definitely oversized but it was foul hooked so I was glad she came off easy and the other I lost was in keeper range and I got a minute fight outta that one. I landed a 36 incher and released it after a couple pics and got a 16 inch striper also released... Nick got a 45 or 46 incher and lost one. Kyle got a nice striper and missed a couple bites! Lots of bites all around during the outgoing tide!

Too bad you didn't get another keeper.  You could have had so many more opportunities for people to tell you recipes :) thanks for the report though.

2kg fluke/plough anchor always worked better for me in wind/tide.  plus less weight to haul around.

Hey what kind of dog you have there.  We are looking for a new dog as our Lhassa died last year of old age.  I would love to have a small dog to keep me company.

He's a long haired Jack Russell. Very smart dogs, but full of energy.
