Lake Sonoma 3/31

Going to hit the lake for Steelies and Bass company welcome.

I was thinkin ARW this sat, but haven't heard of any bittin so far............I think I'm gonna have to DO THIS!!

I may have to burn some WAF and try and get out.    I was going to spend it on some Ab diving on Sunday, but the ocean doesn't seem to be cooperating.  I'll see you there if I can get out of the house.

So , how are these steelies being caught ?

Mike is there a certain place you guys are going to launch also I could not find a fishing report on Lake Sonoma do you fish the lake alot.

I am going to lanch at the main ramp across from the dam. This hasn't been a good spring for steelies but trolling early is the best bet going deeper as the sun comes up. It's been cool in the evenings this week so I hope the steelies will be on the surface early. The water is starting to warm and the bass are moving into the shallows, some of the bass fishers are sight casting. I go for smallies so fish are holding at 15'. There is a huge tourney at clear lake and I'm hoping most of the PBs will be up there. This lake has a lot of structure and deadfall and many coves and arms. Most of the LMB fisher have been fishing the arms and the main part of the lake has been pretty empty. http://www.fishsniffer.com/maps/sonoma.html

wut time does the place open? I am coming UP 101, Canyon Rd. is the exit? and you are refering to the launch over the EAST BRIDGE/across dam.  I plan to target them smallies and largies all day till I get one

Adam I am not much of a bass fisherman and I've been getting them. You won't have any problem. Canyon rd works turn right when it ends.
Yep launch across from dam don't turn left to go to the Marina. I think they are open 24/7 no gate $3.00 launch and Park self pay
