I guess I never gave color names like "motor oil" or "pumpkin seed" much thought, but I just about LMAO recently when I found "babypoo" and "roadkill colored" senkos.

So when you find yourself squirting "butt juice" on "baby poo" don't say I didn't warn you. :smt005

There's one particular company that makes plastics in the color of "California 420" …really, that’s what they call the color.

Now for something completely different:
The funny thing is when you use fishing-related colors to describe non-fishing-related items to non-fishing-friends:
"Dude, did you see that totally hot babe?"
"No, where?"
"Over there, in the chartruse bikini…"

To which the non-fishing-friend undoubtedly replies, "What the hell is a chartruse?"
"It’s a color, like yellow."
"Man, I don't even wanna know HOW you know chartruse is a color…why didn't you just say yellow?"

And you're thinking in your head, "If he only knew…1/2oz chartruse-colored double willow blade spinnerbaits are soo manly. They slay the bass at Coyote Lake!" But you don't want to explain what a willow blade is…or what a spinnerbait looks like…so you just say, "Yeah, she's pretty hot though, right?"

Reaction innovations has the really outrageous names for colors and plastics. I just picked up a package of boom-boom tubes in "Dirty Sanchez".

Maybe they'll even catch fish :)

I found PROEYE trolling spoons in a Netcraft catalog with counterintuitive names like "Bill's Baby", "Confusion", "Captain America", "Spot N' Your Eye", and "Purple Bling"...

but the best was "Monkey Puke". Looks like they're working the novelty angle better than anybody.

To some that may mean absolutely nothing. I'm waiting for Reaction Innovations to come up with something like "Donkey Punch" or who knows what's next.

I especially like their "Sweet Beavers" in the "Hematoma" color.  :smt044
