I have never fished for or caught a Steelhead, so I don't have the "Fever." However, that scenery is absolutely AWESOME!! The fish and the fight they put up are quite awesome too :smt007. Thanks for taking the time to film and explain everything around you while you are in the middle of an epic battle!

Of all the rivers I have fished, the Eel is not one. And with your photos and stories of it, I have to ask myself why not.
The shots of that green color gave me chills.
As always, a great story.
Thank you.

Thanks Eric.  Great discription on tackle and technique. We are headed up to the Navarro and Gracia. Maybe a little time on brush creek or alder creek. Smalll water is my favorite. I love the hiking. May look you up in a year or two when I'm comfortable with Andrew handling a kayak on his own. He us 11. He has been in the ocean solo twice. Dont tell his mom. He has the confidence and smarts just needs to be a little stronger paddler.

Thanks for sharing your epic trip with us, congrats on catching those beautiful fish....till then....tight lines....
Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

Stunning scenery and beautiful fish!  That milky blue color of the water reminds me of the glacier flows in Alaska,  is that just from the silt of the Eel or something else?  Can't wait to come enjoy the river with you!  Thanks for sharing the video Eric.  My dreams will now be full of liquid sunshine rainbows and steelys.

That's just how the Eel settles out.  It's a beautiful thing.  :smt001

Are you planning on kayaking down those rivers?
If so, be careful out there.
All those steams you mentioned are overgrow and the switchbacks are dangerous.
Good luck
