I am currently in the market for a drysuit. Does anyone have any experience using Stohlquist drysuit? Compared to Kokatat, it is more affordable as I can't see myself dropping another thousand after dropping a few thousand getting a Hobie. I will be using if for saltwater, so I need something that can keep me dry and warm in case I get dumped in the water. Any info will be appreciated.

Here's a Kokatat review.  http://canadiankayakanglers.com/kokatat-t3-super-nova-angler-dry-suit-review/

I really like mine, specially the cordura fabric around high wear areas that prevent punctures from hooks and spines.  The Stohlquist does not have this feature.

Is the "dry suit" the same as the "paddling suit" on the t3 supernova? I'm seeing reviews for both but can only find the "paddling suit" for sale?

I think the difference is in the neck/wrist gaskets.  Drysuits are all latex gaskets which prevents all water intrusion. Paddle suits have neoprene neck gaskets, which are more comfortable but arent completely water tight.

And... drysuits won't keep you warm, just dry. You need to wear an insulation layer under it.

honestly from your dimensions, I'd put you as a large rather than XL.  You're no bigger than I am and I wear a L, and its baggy.

Hmmm, looking at that chart, I think you may be right.

This is most popular model for kayak fishing.  Its actually a semi-drysuit because of the neoprene collar. The other drysuits have latex collars for white water kayaking who get wet and want keep water out.  We sit on top kayak fish and do our best not get into the water.

I'm 5'11 and I had to go with a XL in the Super Nova because of shoulder issues.
It's a little big, but I don't have to reach back as far to get in and out of it which was a deal breaker for me otherwise.
Also allows me to layer-up when fishing when it's snowing.

Are the Kokotat suits made in USA?   What about Stohlquist?
