Thanks for the entertaining pix, Frank.  :smt003 Some kayakers also got "skunked" today at the Golden Gate because of 20+ mph winds. Comfort food, like beer, usually soothes the savage beast, though!

Thanks Frank... now that's a very cool report with all the pics.   I especially like the little dig at the end showing your and JTF's Halibut.  You're cruel .... making those ten other guys envious!  :smt003

It was a good try by all today.  Frank the pix are precious, esp Mooch in towng position......you can see the splash from his last stroke.   That shot is a RIOT!!

too bad the wind came up so strong so quick.  i kinda felt like the water was just too murky today.  ah well.  Lunch was great anywway, and I got to learn a new spot in very good company.

"Name the veteran?! Then name the rookie?"

Well I know who i am, and i met Rick today for fishing (he was at the Coyote Paddlefest as well)

Rick will post onthe board soon, I know.  We just need to bestow upon him a proper nickname.....

Very cool report.
I wanted to go out today and join you guys, but I had to up my WAF by doing some elec. work for a spa installation. I was in a bad funk all day.  Sorry you landed only beers.  I'll get out with you in one of the coming months.

I remember doing my spa installation. It is a pain but SO worth it!
Fantastic pics and report considering there were no fish caught. Thanks Frank.

Truth of the matter be told, those weren't the most optimal tides for halibut.  I apologize for the wind.  As soon as you south bay guys got out of the water the winds died down.    :smt005  But, an hour later they kicked up again and we called it quits.

I introduced a friend of mine to kayakfishing yesterday, he was stoked on it.

Anyhoo, good seein who I did get to see and until next time.  jtf..

So the catching sucked, but it was good to meet a bunch of the guys from the forum.  This newbie is far from intimidated, and ready to go again!  Thanks for the loaner boat, Mooch!
