they would probably catch fire I don't think they would
last long as it is my ff will drain the battrey from
12volts to 11volts in 6to7 hours

My replacement 10 cell holders arrived today. Thomas sent me 3 of the 5x2 and told me to keep the 10x1 holders too. Two thumbs up for Thomas Distributing :groupwave :blob6: :blob5: :blob3: :blob10: :blob7:

Now that's good customer service. Well worth the few bucks they didn't make on the sale.

I might have to place an order for my holder with them.

I'd be happy to give you a 10x1 with solder type tabs. Let me know if it would work for you.

Thanks Al. I just might take you up on that offer. I've got something else lined up and if it falls thru, I'll be in touch.

Hey!

I was wondering on average what it was costing to assemble the 10 cell AA packs and the  weight.

Thanks :smt001

Here was something interesting I found.  Rechargable, more amps than standard AAs, and about the same cost as batteries+charger and you dont have to mess with battery holders.

Jim this place has all kinds  http://www.batteryholders.com/
When I made mine I decided to use 12 batteries since my FF is rated for 10-20volts.I couldn't find big battery holders at the time(locally) so I gooped 2 together and they fit a small pelican box just right.I testing now to see if high amp hour batteries will last a couple days.

How are you guys charging 10 AA batteries?  Can you leave it in the harness/holder and connect with any 12V battery charger?  Don't tell me you are charging in battery charger 2 or 4 AA batteries at a time.

I have 2700 maha and recharge 4, 4, then 2.  This 10-pack keeps my FF going for at least 3 trips @ around 6 hours each.  I don't think it's ever died on the water, so perhaps it would last longer than that.  Just takes a day to recharge the 10. FF is Eagle Cuda 168.
