I snuck out to San Pablo Rev. today to do a little trolling, manage to hook 9 trout. I keep three, released 2 smaller ones, 2 came unbuttoned in the boat and decided to jump over board and the other 2 where long distant releases. The last fish of the day was a BIG ONE I thought the downrigger was hung up on the bottom the way my kayak came to a abrupt stop so I reeled up the downrigger to find the line was not on the clip but the rod was bent down like it was. I grabbed the rod and the kayak did a 180 and the line started to peal off the reel, it did not fill like a trout it felt like a Sturgeon I know that sounds nuts but there was nothing I could do to stop it, then the 6lb test popped my ride was over  :smt010 it would have been nice to have seen it, but what a rush  :smt003. It was a good day on the water weather was great and not to many PBs out to play.

There are Dinos in there
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

I brought my daughter to the playground today and a guy was holding a carp that must of been at least 30lbs.  I wish I had my camera because I have never seen carp that big.  I guess they are in the reservoir since no one really fishes for them.  He said he caught it on a worm.

Thats a nice clip of fish there.  Yeah, there are definately some monster dino's in San Pablo.  I've seen a few pics of 6footers pulled out of there at benicia bait and tackle.  Some guy from vallejo has landed a couple there on anchovie.

Nice fish, sounds like you were all over em.  Too bad about the biggun, sucks when you can't even get a visual.  I'm going to give it a go on Saturday.

Pat

Probably fishing Saturday at SB or LR when I get back from Donner Lake. Waiting for a part for my sander gave me a break from my remodel. I will post in hookups.
