I'm gonna try to get work off. It's a bit tricky as I'm not yet a permanent city employee,  but I figure I should set the "gotta take time to go fish" expectation early

There is always room the day of the event. Most of the local come up for the day. If you want to camp I am sure someone would have space for you.

The fam and I + 1 will be there.

Amber said she's in to crab this year too, and will be bringing up my buddy Brian again (he won biggest redrock that year nobody caught anything )

I'm interested!  I've never fished for perch though, and have no crab traps (yet), what kinda tackle should I be using?

Until last year's crabfest, I had never fished for perch either and I ended up winning with largest fish!!
