My emergency gift stockpile this year includes a handful of these: http://www.thermoworks.com/ThermoPop

It looks like the sale price went up a bit though. I picked-up mine for $19 each.

Stainless S clips are a great idea, Dale L, any brand name on the knives you suggested?

My favorite knife was a no name cheapy in 1985. So no help there,

I've got a couple others I'll dig out and see what info they may have.

No joke, I bought a titanium spork a couple years back and its been nails so I bought more.  Keep one in the office, one in the truck and one on the boat.  They come in handy.

This link is for a used knife but the bottom of the  page is covered with other choices.

Found this, just got one from amazon, prime, at my door $20.  Also available from various places at similar prices.

Feels good and solid, positive lock with one finger release with the gripping hand (in other words on the grip not the sheath), rubber straps with snap together buckles.

Of course it'll rust a bit.  Not a high grade knife but if you want to try a calf mounted knife that you won't cry over if you lose it, I'd recommend it.
