Clayman's favorite glove has a kickstarter campaign going until Dec.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/kastgear/the-steelhead-glove-the-ultimate-in-protection-and

$70 including shipping if you back the glove.  I can't tell if there is any difference between this new anniversary edition and the old gloves other than styling.  They seem to indicate its better than the old one but there's not really a comparison chart.

Cheapest price I found online for the glove is $64 at Backcountry, but they sold out of the large size last week, and are down to the medium only.

I'm fairly certain this will actually ship unlike a lot of kickstarters since they're supposedly already in production and this is more of a pre-launch price.

I purchased through the kickstarter about a week or two ago and got an email confirmation that they should ship by December. They were actually funded within 30 hours

NoSoup clued me into the Kickstarter campaign a couple weeks ago.  Great timing too, as I was looking for a new pair and the Large sizes of the old models are sold out everywhere.

I've tried a ton of different gloves for cold weather fishing over the years, and the Kast Steelhead gloves are far and away my favorite.  Anyone who fishes during the cold season and has issues with cold hands should definitely check these out!

Thanks Ben.  I meant to put this information up a couple weeks ago, but I guess I got sidetracked by fishing.   :smt003  Like Chris, I can't say enough about these gloves.  I'm ordering another pair myself.

Now if they would just make some matching socks???  :smt003

Why are you guys ordering another pair? Are they wearing out already? I got some last season, but have only used them a couple times. Hope at the price they don't wear out too quickly...

I ended up using mine when snowboarding last winter, and that beat the hell out of them.  Given the price, I won't do that again.  I also used them practically weekly from December through March, so they got plenty of use.  Pretty sure I can make a pair stretch through two vigorous winter seasons as long as I don't use them when snowboarding  :smt001.

Jonesz, mine are holding up well, but I haven't caught as many fish as Chris and I haven't snowboarded in years.   :smt044  I was going to try a size smaller size the last set I got a little bigger to put handwarmers in them.

you will receive a survey after the KS campaign closes asking you your size option and to confirm your shipping address.

Hmmm wondering how they'd last if you were rowing a drift boat or paddling a kayak?

Do these gloves run normal size ? or do they run small/large  ? Kickstarter still has two pairs for $ 130
Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.
