The same could have been asked of the students and their conservative teachings when they tore apart Ole Miss University after the 2012 election. The bigger point, whether they're conservative or liberal, is that people of this age group are engaged and involved the process, and have an opinion on the direction of the country. Hard to find too much fault in that, right ?

Yes, but there is no other side to engage in the dialogue in this county.  It is sad that this opinion is common in this area and I wouldn't expect them to think any different because no one teaches both sides, that is why I say ignorant, opinion yes, truth, questionable and challegeable.  This action is not engaged or involved, it's a bit of a rant founded in fear.  I blame the public school instruction, the media, and the bubble that is Marin.

Not every..............and are the denier kook scientists making their findings up and getting the funding and media coverage as the mainstream scientists are?

I was trying to figure out a way to address this part but haven't figured out an eloquent way to put it.  I agree with this.  The schools give the kids that want to vent a safe place to do it and they don't take the opportunity to talk about the consequences - because there aren't any.

I have a whole lot more respect for the kid that goes over to SF and jumps into the protests there than the ones in their safe space suburban bubble in Marin.  You can hardly call that a "protest", there aren't any consequences or even any vocal opposition.  It's in a school ffs.  Thats just coddling.

Wow such a surprise that global warming is still considered debatable by some. Admittedly born and lived most my life near the SF bay area but kinda started assuming everyone was on the same page in regards to this.

Wish I was as good at presenting my opinion as Ski Pro Jerry has. He had some interesting points that even though I did not agree with most of his conclusions I could see how he got to them. Really helped understand the Americans that voted for Trump.

America is a pretty great  and diverse country doubt it will change too much too quickly but we shall see.

Dude, if CO2 weren't a problem the whole world would rejoice. Such findings, if held up against rigorous scrutiny would be on every front page and every meme on FB. "I told you so" would be the GOPs new slogan. I personally would be dancing in the streets.

Or maybe they were just reacting to the man as he presented himself. Using the word Liberal to label someone reacting negatively to Trumps election is a cop out. I have friends who are much more conservative than I who could not bring themselves to vote for the man, a view generally held by their children as well.

Climate change might be real, I just don't believe it's settled about who or how.............I do find it arrogant that humans think they can control it.  Yes, we should take care of the environment on both sides but the planet has been through worse, supposedly, dancing or not is ok............
