The hoods should be darker than this - "charcoal" - hopefully I'll get another mockup.

Registration sent, always a good time at GS! This will be my 5th time, time sure does fly.

It's all but certain that salmon WILL be open for GS11!

I have spots open for my Thursday half day salmon trip...

Also, I heard the other night at my Humboldt Area Saltwater Anglers meeting that Pacific halibut may be open May 1st through June 15th to start the season before going to only the first parts of the months of July, August...etc. until the quota is met.

If this is true it'll be really cool.  For about 4 years running (GS3 though GS6?) there was at least one Pac hali caught during the GS weekend.  Hopefully we can bring in some salmon and the big halibut - it's nice to have them in play.

John - You are never being bringing trouble my way!  You are a great supporter of me and this event - give yourself some credit!  You'll look good in this hoodie.    I hope your wife is coming again this year?

@meettheKaji's - So glad you guys are coming. 

Here's the dealio:  the roster is shaping up nicely, as is the raffle item list.  All of the trophies and other goodies are falling in to place.  GS11 is poised to be one of the best yet.  I'm stoked to see so many good friends sign up, and I'm really impressed and excited to see newb's navigate what can be a vague path to the event.  If you want in this gig, you can do it!  It's not that hard.

I will post an official roster once registration is closed (April 20th), and I'll list what gear people ordered, so it can be checked for accuracy and you can let me know if there is a discrepancy.

I'm really amped for this year's event! 

I'll give some confirmation of the salmon season and the Pacific halibut season in the coming week or so - salmon is almost a sure thing, and Pac hali is looking very good for us.  More to come...
