I plan on going Sunday. What time are you launching?
My wife mentioned an alternative plan this morning... so let's hope I will still be able to go. If I do, I plan to be at MBK around 6:30

Got the green light, car loaded and ready to go. I should be there around 6:30, maybe a bit later... I'll be on Ch69.

I'll be there too. I think for salmon you want to be there as early as possible  (not that it helped me ;)

I think I will be out there again tomorrow. Went out today for awhile. Mostly just a test run in the new kayak. I couldn't believe the difference between this one and my old tarpon 100. I did bring home a couple though, a greenling and a china. I met Sebast out there today.  He was having more success than me but I will get after them tomorrow.

So after I figured out where to park, I  was in the water a little after 6:30. Headed to the first green can and started fishing. I caught a 26" ling half way to the red can. Turned around at the red can and fished by the reef North of the first green can and caught 2 cabezons.

It was my first time at HMB and I was told it was arguably the best day on the water so far, so I guess I got lucky.

Ran into quite a few kayakers and from what I heard no salmons were caught (I didn't even tried myself).

Back at HMBK around 11:30AM and Waze took me thru Pacifica as HMB was a mess (pumpkin festival I believe).

Here are a few pictures. I released everything except one cab that i donated to Ryan who was fishing next to me :-)

I was out at HMB earlier today, midnight decision.  Trolled for salmon, wanted a salmon to close the season, chrome or go home.  Well, it was a no salmon day.   'heard from the radio that there was a PB that boarded three 8-12 lbs salmons around 7.30am, but haven't heard much of anything since.  The same boat boarded their 4th around 11am or so, all on lures (WMA, etc), no bite on bait.

Weather was nice, was flat toward noon.  Left the water before noon, didn't stick around for the afternoon bite.  It was interesting to get five PB wakes entering the jaws.

Nice to meet everybody!
