I just picked up a couple trays of chovies and am heading out in the morning until 9 or 10 then have to get some work done. Looks like a couple others are interested as well.

Cheers,
Brad

Very slow , heard of 2, plus several shakers

Hmm, thanks for the quick reply. I'm on the fence here. I've been skunked so many times this year. Might bail, but best of luck to any who go. Keep the reports coming!
On a positive side - weather was great, and some fish was caught. And if salmon does not bite there is always rf (I got 2 lings today, one while trolling for salmon early am)

It was a pleasure meeting you bro and look forward to fishing with you sometime!  I didn't fish today but was lurking around on my lunch.

Based on the two PBers I talked to at the fish cleaning station, the bite was slow compared to yesterday.  Each of them had one salmon each.  25-35 ft. down.  Tomorrow should be EPIC!

Salmon fishing changes SOOOO much from day to day. I almost look at today's poor reports as a GOOD sign for tomorrow, if you get my drift. The fish didn't disappear. If there's still bait in the area, the fish will be back to feed on it.

It was same for me. I did get a tap tap on my line and it happened twice and I thought this is it but it stopped. Didn't check it right away as it may still be following my bait. Then when I finally checked the bait, it was a croaker snagged on its belly. That was my day.

I so much agree with Alex. A poor day yesterday could be a very good sign today.

Guess where the action was?
;
By the public restroom.
These pictures were taken in just 20 minutes of watching those guys have fun. They were nailing them 2 at a time.

It was my first time out on the kayak this year and all my body parts are aching. Nice fishing with you brothers: gabekap, sebast, nusc.

Alien would be on a Rest Room Mission soon.
Going Fishing?
Winds from the south, hook in
    the mouth.
Wind from the east, bite the least.
Wind from the north, further off.
Wind from the west, bite the

Flossing. One of fish was caught by 2 guys, one on the mouth and one on the body. They can tell when the salmon are coming due to the wave they create as they swim in the shallows, sometimes 5 at a time. Then they reel altogether and bam, the fight is on for the lucky one. The most I've seen hooked was 2.

Was fun watching them.

Most of them are flossing and some are actually snagging. I've seen someone at night put a trebble hook and bobber where fish pass by and yank it as soon as the fish comes by.

That's just dirty... These fish aren't "done". They'll still find their river...

And you didn't call Cal-TIP and report them? Or could it be you're out there doing the same thing? 😀

I would had better luck if I did the same. No I did not call Cal Tip instead I educate them that was illegal and they can get hefty ticket. Sometimes some folks are just not aware, I saw the set up they looks like straight from the store. I believe on educating them first before snitching on them. Give them the benefit of the doubt. I see that you didnt give me that.
