Looking at buying a new kayak and any suggestions are welcomed. Im limited to 75 pounds due to transporting and about 1500 price limit as well. Would like a higher eeight capacity then most im not to large just like more stability. Currently look at big game 2 trident 15 and a couple others any ideas would be awesome

With that price range you have a ton of great options.

Standard advice is to try and demo before you buy...that way you can get what feels best for YOU and not what some other person likes.

Best of luck!!

Sincerely,

Jim

ps...if you have any questions about the Jackson kayaks I would be happy to do my best to try and answer them, but still encourage you to demo and shop around.  :smt001

You might want to reconsider using OEM roof racks.  There have been posts regarding them failing with kayaks mounted.

Don't rule out used kayaks. It seems the newer models tend to be heavier than older models. You might run across a deal here or on the web. Are there any end of season demo/rental sales happening?

I think 75# is max bar load since your kayak will never be only on one bar you should be good with any yak you want.
That's what I was lead to believe.

I love :smt007 my OK T15!!  I have a P13 also which is cool and all but the T15 is smooth and stable.
