I just ordered a brand new 2017 Hobie Mirage Pro Angler 14 in Camo.  I do some float tubing so the idea of fishing in reverse hands free is what swayed me towards the 2017 Hobie with reversible Mirage Drive.  I am told it might arrive before the end of the month.  Until then I can't stop thinking about it and spend most of my free time watching videos, prowling the internet and Forums in search of knowledge and to get my fix.

This will be my 1st Kayak.  I tested a couple out this year including the Hobie Tandem Island Sail Kayak and found it to be a ton of fun.  I am not new to Fishing and can't wait to get out and explore.  I fish the ocean, delta and lakes throughout the year.  It's going to be fun.

I live in Tracy Ca.

Step 1 since this is your first kayak:

Take it out to a calm lake, flip it over upside down, then try to flip it back over and get back in.

Welcome!

Welcome. Amazing information here.
You have a great new boat coming and what RBark said is spot on. Trying to right side my outback is nearly impossible. Practice is key.
