If you find a fixer with promise, I'm sure some of us would be willing to give you a hand on it if you want.

Air streams are all kinds of cool, but floor space and basic layout types are quite limited. There are some other things out there that might be adaptable if you, or a bunch of friends, are handy enough. For example, a Forest River has been building Murphy beds into some of their newer trailers. The then put a fold-down sofa underneath so when the bed is up, you have the sofa and a bunch more room. We had two big dogs when we bought it, and it really opened up room for them. No reason you could not take their mechanisms and stick it into one end of an Airstream. Limited only by your imagination (and budget).
Warning! Retiree; Knows it all and has plenty of time to tell you about it.

Hey Craig,
I bought a new 25' Airstream in 2004.  Love it!  We took 6 months off and did a 6,000 mile loop across the US checking out the national parks.  They are pricey, but tend to increase in value over time, if well maintained.  I don't think you can go wrong.
