I'm picking up my Tarpon 160 before noon - hoping to take her out and maybe try for some halibut while I'm in town. Allen / Scallen may hook-up with me. I'm also bringing the X - Factor for Rich to test drive. Company welcome - channel 69.

negative - I'm keeping my P-15...I just wanted to get a "Touring Type" of kayak. I was considering getting a Cobra Expedition but the Yellow Tarpon 160 (double hatch) with a rudder got my attention

Mooch, I might be able to make it if you don't mind hanging with someone who's only been in a kayak on the salt once (and that was launching from the SC Pier).

Angel -I'm packing light - 1 rod & a few lures - no bait. I'll jig a fish trap on the sandy bottom. And I'll bring a few magnum rapalas and troll the shoreline for stripers. I'm also thinking of bringing an ultra lite rod for perch along the docks or rockwall.

There is a small floating dock between #1 and 2.

Heavy means: 3 rods: 1 for trolling,  1 for jigging, 1 inside the hatch for light tackle fishing and a LOT's of lures
