Quick edit I did of some footage of my buddy Andrew shooting his first YellowFin Tuna earlier this year in Panama...

Wish the quality was better but still awesome.  :smt007

Pretty crazy sitting on the back of the boat with a loaded gun and then jumping in and diving straight down to shoot the fish...

From the time the captain shouts GO to when he takes the shot it was only 18 seconds...

The guy taking pics is world famous diver Terry Maas.

18 seconds is all he had those fuckers don't stand still  :smt003

Gotta get in front of the pack, jump in and let them swim to you.

That's why that shot placement is in front of his face..............SWEET!

Actually....the shot through the head was the second shot...first shot was right in the tail!  :smt005 :smt044

Andrew said the tuna went by and he aimed about a half body length in front of it and pulled the trigger...

Tuna was going so fast that by the time the shaft got there it hit in the tail...guess he should have aimed a full body length in front of it?!?

Not pretty, but apparently is a super solid holding shot.

Wow - saw that spot on the tail in one of the pix but didn't think there was any way it would have held to get a second head shot.

Cheers,
Brad

Nice.  I see Andrew still has his mixed color top and bottom wetsuit.  Must be his lucky combo.
