Saw these at Walmart in Rohnert park. Pool noodles (flotation) on clearance for .75¢ each. Located in the garden center.  Just wanted to pass it on to everyone.

We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.

I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center.

People aren’t supposed to look back. I’m certainly not going to do it anymore.”

Now that you do the math, it's legit.

I have about 40 noodles in my tarpon 140. How many noodles do you have in your yak?

I just picked up 40.  Going to put some in the bows and sterns of my Prowler 13 and Trident 15.  Not sure how many it will take to do both yaks.  May have to head back to Walmart after I get started.  Maybe someone here could speak to the approximate amount needed.  Haven't searched the site yet for that info.  I'm a cart before the wagon guy.

And the Walmart I was at had at least 80-100 boxes (50? a box) left if anyone can't find them anywhere else.

They are the smaller diameter noodles.  Good for rod flotation as well.

UPDATE!!!  Just got back from WalMart (Rohnert Park) getting the last noodles for my kayak. They dropped the price to 25¢ each!!

Needless to say. I have too many noodles now so I guess I have to buy another kayak!  :smt003

Do you basically just cram these up to the front, back and sides of the yak?

You needed more than 40 for 2 yaks?  I have a Trident 13 and want to add some flotation security... maybe I will start with 20 or so..?

Anyone have any pics or special techniques on how to do this or is it as simple as cramming em' in?

Thx!! :smt006

I got 27 noodles into my prowler 13.   I used the cram in an orderly fashion technique.   I put them down both sides then cut a few and a half and stuffed those into the bow in front of the fish finder.   Might be overkill but it's not gonna sink!

haha! Well you can't put a price on safety, and in this case that price is cheap!  Might have to head down to Rohnert Park and grab me some tonight!

I have 27 pool noodles in my T15. I coupled them together in sets of 3's by using 1 foot sections of 3/4" inch PVC conduit between them.

So I have a total of 9- approx 15 foot pool noodle sections running evenly and neatly the entire length of my yak.

There's still plenty of room for diving equipment, fishing gear, food and water. Don't think I'm sinking anytime soon.  :smt001

Still plenty of noodles at the Rohnert Park walmart.  I picked up 25 last night.

I like the idea of stringing them together to keep them neat and orderly!
