Conditions are looking pretty good to get out tomorrow. Plan to launch by boatdocks in the a.m. I'll bring the salmon gear in case there's good activity in there area, but will probably end up targeting rockfish and lings if anyone wants to join. I'll have my radio on 69.

Cheers,
Brad

Thinking about going out in the eve at Linda if the wind stays light enough. Let me know how it goes!

Heard sparse radio fish (chrome) yesterday at pier & point and one WSB caught.  If bait is still around, I would troll for chrome.  Good luck, wish I could join the fun during the week.

Thanks for the update agoodhi. I know there's been a bite out there on and off there for the past few weeks which is why I'm bringing the salmon gear. Hadn't heard about the WSB but not surprising in that the squid boats were supposedly working the area recently.

Work is threatening to try an wreck this but so far it hasn't.

Cheers,
Brad

Getting a slow start but conditions look good. Saw a commercial boat about 200 yards off the beach north of the pier and another about a half mile off shore so maybe they're in range.

Cheers

Ended with a decent verm and brown, lost a bigger brown boat side and tossed a few smaller models back. No lings but did have the stinger hook bit off once so it was likely something toothy. Started with a wide troll around the cove down to the south rocks but found no bait and there was no bird or whale activity so switched to rockfish at the point.

Whales showed up around noon and were lunge feeding. Paddled out to the general area and there was a dense bait ball - couldn't meter through it. Finder just read 10' and it was at least 60'. Pulled a WMA around for no love and decided to hightail it out of the area when they decided to lunge feed less than 20 yards from me. Pretty cool watching the pair of them come up together but a little too close for comfort. Winds came up little after 1 so called it. Easy launch and landing today.

Thanks for the report. Always makes me nervous when I realize I'm sitting on top of a bait ball and there are whales lunge feed in the area…
