New to NCKA. I am a lifetime fisherman and diver from shore. Looking to open up a few new possibilities out there in the blue and access a few different spots. Looking to buy a kayak to fish and dive from. Most of which will be done off the Sonoma and Mendocino coast. Any recommendations of what to buy and how to go about it would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Tim

Step one:

Go to one of the many kayak shops that support the kayak fishing community.
List of shops:
kayakcity.com aka Adventure sports (Sacramento/Oakley)
Headwaters Kayak Shop in Lodi
Clavey
CCK
Pacific Outfitters

Step 2:

Demo DEMO DEMO

Step 3:
Buy

Alternately, look an CL and our Classifieds section... and always demo before you buy.

Don't forget to include a decent paddle and PFD in your budget. They are important.
