Day 1
I leave my house in Folsom at midnight and drive all night to fish with my favorite guide Loleta Eric and his guest Nathan at 6 am.  five minutes after launch Nathan hooks into and lands 55 minutes later an 88" thresher.  What a great start to my four days at the cove.

Day 2
I meet Chris and Matt, also know as the amayzing brothers at the boat launch in the morning.  I asked if I could join them and they said yes.  Matt gave me some nice big Cresent City herring that he caught earlier in the year.  I used his herring to catch about a 40" cal Hali.  Thank you Matt for the bait.  Matt, you and your brother Chris are great fishermen, but, more importantly you both are truly amazing.

Day 3
I meet Ryan at the boat launch and I ask if I could join him and he said yes.  I fished with Ryan at the cove last year and I know he has some serious fishing skills and he is also a great guy.  We trolled for salmon and ended up catching a lot of 22-23" Lings.

Day 4
I get to the boat launch at 6:30 and today it is just the sea gulls and me.  So today I am going solo.  A half hour later a pb shows up and joins me in the search for salmon.  A couple of minutes later he hooks into a thresher and fights it for 20 minutes before it comes loose.  About 5 hours later I hook into a thresher and 4 minutes later it comes unbutton.  Another 45 minutes pass when I hook up with another thresher and this time I landed it.  The thresher looked like the twin to the one caught on Thursday.

Awesome trip Terry!  It was great to fish with you on Day 2.  You made that halibut look small until I saw it on the beach...what a beast!  And MAD PROPS on the gamest fish of them all, the thresher!

Right on, Terry!  It was great kicking off day 1 with you.  Thanks so much for helping with cleaning up that thresher before we headed back out salmon fishing for the rest of the day.

Great trip, man!  :smt001
