Did a quick dive Saturday late afternoon and found a rod and reel at MacKerricker north cove in 25ft of water.
It must have been submerged for 6 month + the hook on the jighead was rusted out (no hook) and there's significant corrosion on the reel. The pole is salvageable.
Describe it and you can have it back.

Is it a Shimano rod?

Nice recovery Dan.

fishmonger, no it's not, let me know where about you dropped the shimano combo and will look for it  next time
It was a Shimano Trevala rod and Revo reel.

Sonny: nice recovery for the maritime museum ;) it will make a good wall decoration if nothing else

Antonio: Viz was 15 ft + and pretty flat. Dove the main cove (the one next to the parking) from 4 to 6 pm. Mostly moonscape-like terrain carpeted with purple urchins. There was kelp and vegetation towards the middle of the cove on reefs in the sandy area.  I saw a bunch of perch and greenlings only one cab . I took home a ling a black, couple of abs and half a dozen red urchins. Urchins turned out to be mostly empty ;(
