I think Karma will run it's course with the perp. There was a similar fellow (deckhand) in Bodega many many years ago who was up to dastardly deeds. One night after partying with others he "fell" off the dock at Westside and was found belly up later.

Another dumb criminal story.
No matter what happens they guy is too stupid to realize why any retribution may have occured and too tweaked to remember any of it.
But enough about him. What's going to make YOU feel better?

Best Revenge.  One late night in a McDonalds I got to talking to the only other guy there.  He had a briefcase on the table and said he supplied trapping scents.  He said they were great and asked if I wanted to smell one.  Before I could answer he cracked the lid on a small bottle.  The smell which came out wreaked  beyond anything you could imagine, and so noxious I instantly wanted to puke.  I said "wow" and asked him how the trapping scent business was.  He said great, but his main market was not to trappers, but rather to people who wanted to get even.  He said a few drops poured into the gap in a car window would make it so the car could be stripped, steam cleaned, and sandblasted and it would still have a stench.  An ounce poured under a front door would make the house uninhabitable.  Feeling evil and really want to get even with the dude?

FOUND! Tied to a tweaker sailboat aptly named "Self Inflicted". Didn't even move it out of the harbour! Just did a shitty job of scraping the FnG numbers off. Wow. I wonder if they know they just pissed off the whole HMB comm fleet. Not something you want to do if you spend time otw in this area.

  Ok,  Did you happen to confront the asshat for reasoning behind him thinking taking a kayak was a good idea? I'm curious to get some insight as to how tweekers process things.  I'm sure if you did talk to him, his story would be something along these lines; "It wasn't me, I didn't take your kayak"  Or, "My buddy (Whos name he doesn't know!)tied it up to my boat" or "It was it floating all by its self"

Great news Sharky, glad you found it.  As for the idiot tweaker, I say you just report him and let nature take its course for dipshits like him.  Not worth your time, especially since you got it back.  There will be better things to take revenge on.
