Drove by this morning.  Big ship came in between last night and this am.  Will definitely mess with the bite.  :smt013

I think it will improve the fishing. Big fish following that ship all the way here. 😀
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.

Ronaldo is correct....the large ships when navigating up the channel churn up the bottom on the way in releasing worms and clams from the mud and the fish simply follow the food up to the turning basin.

I was shut out :-(. Hubby caught a few LMB smallies.... Tide was going out.  Not sure if that contributed to how dead it seemed out there.  Thanks all for your comments and help.

tire On the water by 6:30, it was like glass. A lot of bait fish working the top Tried working a Zoom Fluke and a square nose hard bait with not takers. Not very many strippers working them at all. Decided t o work the weed line with a top water popper picked up one LMB a little over 13". Started getting warm out off the water at 10:30. Good group the of Kayakers out this morning hope you did better then I did.

Couldn't get out there in the morning but made it out in the evening. So peaceful at night.

Water temp (surface) 79 degrees
Water clarity: 2.5-3ft

I did well on swim bait and my a-rig.  Caught 6 keeper sizes striped bass and a ton of shakers. I kept two 22" and freed the rest.

Cool.  Congrats!!!  Stripers look good.  I'm thinking tide affects bite.
