Thanks everybody for your responses.  I'm thinking that hubby and I will have to check this out on Saturday.  If our plans don't change, and anybody is out there, we'll be out there on a pair of WS Tarpon 100s.  Please say "hi"!
My wife and I are planning on being out there Saturday morning. We will be in the blue camo Big Tuna. Maybe a green camo Lure 11.5 if I am have enough strength that morning to load 2 kayaks...

Hi xengie.  Sounds fun.  We will endeavor to be out there 6:30am-ish.  We have two Tarpon 100s.  Hubby's is green, mine is orange.  Looking forward to meeting you!

I would like to join y'all.  I'll try and meet you in the parking area.  If not i'll be on channel 69.  I'm in a yellow Ocean kayak trident 13.  See ya!

P.s. Watch out for the people rowing, if they are out there.  They move fast and don't watch where they're going.

Zoom super salty flukes in pearl white fished weightless on an offset worm hook jerked into erratic flight got every fish there pumping! use in the barge canal area. over 16' deep use minnows or other rip baits. the striper like to CHASE it!! Have fun and be safe
Jerking for black bass is good there too. I got all my bass in 2-3 ft of water in grass and tules. toss fluke rigged weedless (tip of hook buried just a bit in plastic.) Toss right next to shore or even into loose tulies and wiggle it back till you clear weeds then SHORT erratic jerks. MAKE it go all over.... They'll KILL it!
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

Yes, the rowers. Givevthem room to train. They hold a steady line and work in a rhythm.  Much easier for us to take a few paddle strokes. Ask them if theyvwannavrace! Smile and wave, most of those girls are pretty strong and will kick your butt!  :smt006

Thanks Weimarian for the tips.  I've mainly been fishing lakes for LMB so I realized last night that my lure stash was woefully inadequate.  Going out to go shopping today for more lures....  :smt002 :smt002

Not the ones that were rowing Monday when I was there. I was 10 feet from the shore in my float tube and they almost hit me head on 3 times.  Even with a person in a boat guiding them.  Must have been newbies!
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

I've been out there before when there were 5 boats side by side.  With those long oars they were taking up just about the entire channel.  I've almost been hit numerous times and others have been hit.  It's hard to stay out of their way.  I now bring a whistle but I think an air horn may work better.
