Do you have mad freshwater bass skills? Can you and your 'yak outfish the Basscar crowd?  (Thx Sean for the image) If you do, or are just getting started down your freshwater bassin' journey, please shoot me a PM. I'm looking for largemouth bass stories and photos for an upcoming Western Outdoor News kayak fishing column.

Thanks!

Paul

I can't speak for everyone, but I gave PAL permission to use my photos ANYTIME he needs it. Although I have never met him in person, I consider him one of my "buds"  :smt002

I gave the same rights to Anita Jones (Ben's cuter half :smt007) of Western Outdoor News and Karen from Hook1 Kayak Fishing Gear.

I could care less if they got money for it or not  - but that's just me :smt002

Sky, I'm just happy enough to have people "notice" 'em  :smt002

Don't get me wrong, if some one out there wants to pay me for my photos - please do so :smt001 I'd gladly send you my address so you can send me a check  :smt002

Are you selling these images to companies for a profit?

Heck no! The only photos I sell are those I take myself. I don't know why you can't view my website, but for those who can and want to look for themselves please visit www.outdoorscribe.com

I provide my editors with proper photo credits. Most dilligently recognize the copyright holder (the person who took the photo).

Sky, I write primarly for outdoor newspapers. Pick any one of them up, be it Western Outdoor News, the FishSniffer, FishRap, and plenty of others. You'll see a lot of reader submitted photos. Shoot, a certain cliched pose in which the fish is held at arm's length right in front of the lense is even known as the "FishSniffer." Many anglers and hunters are proud of their catches and thrilled to see them in the paper.

There's another reason I ask for photos to illustrate some of my newspaper stories. I can't be everywhere at once, yet my beat runs from Baja all the way up the west coast to Alaska. If local anglers want to be covered, I sometimes need their help.

While I often ask my network for photo help, I rarely make a public broadcast such as this one. Notice it is for a very specific purpose: an upcoming largemouth bass kayak fishing column in Western Outdoor News.

I have a long history at all of these websites. Most of the proprietors are close personal friends. I've fished with may of the regular posters up and down the state, publicized their businesses, always shined a positive light on the sport, written letters and attended government meetings to testify on behalf of kayak anglers throughout California. Let people judge me by track record.

If I'm your friend why did i have to sleep in the carport...

You missed curfew. My floor was full. I fell asleep and didn't hear the doorbell. I was "busy" with the Mrs. and didn't want an interruption (you should have knocked 1 minute later  :smt001). You have a BO problem. Or maybe you needed to chew a couple tabs of GasX. You didn't bring me any abalone from way up north. You paddle a Malibu. You don't have any hair and scared my children.  :smt002

I still love you Sean my brother. When are we hitting Baja again? Socorro is the new Colonet - but supposedly with fish.

Mooch what format did you photograph the pictures with?

Digital - 35 mm slides, or negative film (prints)?

If you used a digital camera, do you know what resolution you used for any of the ones I said were good enough?  Find out and let me know.

Digital - pentax optio - I'll find out the resolution...if I can figure that out  :smt011

I just checked a photography stock agency to see what the going rate is for a "Royalty Free" photograph is.

A person holding a fish by a lake is going for $339.00 for a printed media.(Magazine ad, brochure, catalog.)

A scenic lake photo with or without a boat is going for $339.00 to $500.00 for printed media.
