Those damn cards caused me more headaches when I was working as an elementary principal.  Theft, out during class time, parents actually complaining that their kids were swindled in trades.  I just confiscated whenever they appeared, and the parents had to come get them.  Now those kids are reliving their childhoods electronically.

I have an 8 and 6 year old and have seen the addiction.  It's not that far from fishing, though.  HMB (my standard spot) has lings, cabs, blacks, and blues.  Shelter seems to have more salmon (haven't been lucky enough to go out there) and San Clemente Island definitely has more yellowtail (got 5 on the motherboat trip!).  I'd stop going to work if I could get to fishing spots as easily as my kids can get to a Pokemon spot.

 

Whoever came up with this game is a genius---maybe an evil commie genius, but a genius nonetheless.
