I don't have the funds for this right now, and think it might be a little steep, but if someone is looking for a non-tankwell tarpon, it might be worth calling.

Mooch... you're lucky.  I saw it minutes after it was posted but thought it was too expensive considering you can get a brand new T160i for $100 more.

Two hatches are nice, but for me, I still think the tankwell is most practical.

Also... after reading about Chris "Holy Mackeral's" experiences with the tupperware hatch, it doesn't seem all that bad.

Hey Bro... if you're happy and it works for you, then that's all that matters! :smt023

I'll be using the T160 purely for fishing trips that  require surf launches (Bean Hollow,Elk,Linda Mar....) I just like the fact that I can easily stow my 8 ft rods with ease :smt002 I also like that it's YELLOW. Never knew Tarpons came in that color! Visibility is a very good thing -IMO.

Also, during the Surf Class....everytime I came in forward, the swell would fill up the tank well and make the P15 a little more squirlly. I have not taken a T160 out on the surf, but I can imagine not having this problem.

The P15 will still be my all around yak.

Randall - Ty is more than welcome to use my P15 at Elk or the X-Factor - just say the word and I'll bring it for him. Besides, I could use a "sherpa" to carry my yak up and down that hill  :smt003

Nice catch moochzilla.  I would have tried to swoop on that one too.
Still think you need a tandem for kayak surf babe adventures.

Thanks - I'll have to copy your rigging techniques - as soon as I get my new "toy"  :smt002

No tandems for me - I hear they are called "Divorce Boats"  :smt003

yeeeah, now your rollin in style. :cowboy_smoke:  the amount of tang you'll score at the beach with a tarpon160 will be amazin... no wait, its not about that, its about being able to float like a butterfly and sting like a bee, no wait, its about the fact that the tarpon has so many plus's that the negatives wont be thought about at all, i think thats what i'm sayin...

plus, we can be homies while we wait for the others to catch up.  :icon_r&r:  jtf..

Are you kidding me?  How many times have we fished together?  You can't even remember my kayak?

Kevin - your Tarpon was a 140 / 120 ? Not a 160. And wasn't yours orange? Or maybe it's Joe / Skyboy who has the orange T140........
