Fishing conflicts and ethics

Have to agree with tide on this one. The bank guy was playing games but the kayak guy went in there with the idea of screwing the bank guy. Mr kayak had the whole lake.

Whats even worse, theres 1000 miles of waterway to explore out there.    Theres so little bank access on the delta its kinda rude to not just give em some space. 


Holland Tract is a private island, only ethical question i have is whether or not bankie or yakie went down to the marina to pay launch or use permit fees to fish lol.  If not....both trespassers!

 I can't believe how many times I've been a mile out on the ocean and had boats pull up to within 20 feet of me to drop a line...        It's hard not to be sarcastic....

Only so many fish in a small area like that, not sure why the kayakers felt it necessary to stick around and disturb that persons fishing. A lot of people can't physically fish from kayak and/or can't afford kayak. Move on.

Leave the shore anglers alone......they are already suffering. I always give them a very wide berth....they're area to fish is limited.

I always try to give them at least a good 100 yards if possible. Up here though folks are salmon fishing from bank but use kayaks or small boats to drop their lines so they could easily be 100 yards off shore... It can get ugly and messy sometimes.

I was reading through the forums as a guest a few days ago and I came across this post and realized, hey that's me.  So I figured I would register and join the conversation as well as make a follow-up video discussing what I have learned from that experiance with the guy on the bank. 

First off, I recognize that it was pretty douchey of me to keep fishing in that area.  I was pissed during the situation but I should have just left the area.  I never intended to interact with the guy on the bank, as you might notice in the follow-up video, he just sort of popped up.  At that point I should have turned around but I didn't.  You live and you learn. 

I try to make entertaining and informative videos on my channel and I try to be a good ambassador of the outdoors and Kayak Fishing specifically.  I think I failed in the first video but I think that there is something to learn from it.  If you have a minute take a look at the follow-up.  Thanks!   ~Chris
