Went out of Leffingwell in Cambria on friday morning, weather was nice, swell wasnt bad, drift was pushing north which was different for a change.  The bite was pretty slow, but ended the day with a new personal best, 34in ling, in 30ft of water, using just a regular rock cod rig with whole squid as bait.

Met up with another member for the second time when landing, thats really why im posting this in hopes hell see.  I forgot your name so i couldnt search you.  You showed me your set up for using whole mackerel on your line.  Anyways, thanks again so much for your advice.  PM me if you ever want to meet up at Leff or even somewhere else.

Haha how it going Alex!
I saw your post and thought it had to be Alex. Then saw the 34inch ling and yup it is. Yeah I forgot to come back down to take a picture of you and the monster 34inch ling, I was up in the bathroom changing. I saw the other two kayaker bring in fish too.

Yeah for sure man, next time we'll head out same time for safety and enjoy some good fishing.

Awesome Catch Again, Congratulations on the Big Ling!
I think I know what I’m doing?
