New Brighton Beach Sat 3/3

The swell looks like it's going calm down a bit on Sat and I wanted to get out there and troll the surf line and see if I can't get some Stripers. Basically I just want to get out on the ocean and paddle/peddle while trolling flashy stuff.

Yeah I did get out there. Had an unbelievably pleasant day paddling but unfortunately no fish on the troll. Did cast towards shore in the surf line with a MORF grub and nailed 5-6 perch though.

That is cool Z.  I have been wondering about that method for stripers in the surf.  I will have to try that in Monterey one day.

I've heard of yak'rs in SD doing it quite successfully. Seems like a good strategy. Just go out when the surf is small and keep an eye on the horizon for those sneaky set waves.  It will make for an exciting adventure for sure!!

I live real close to Seacliff and walk that beach regularly, if I start to see stripers coming in, I will let you know!
