Haven't REALLY made up my mind, looks like I just sold my WU tarpon 140 so I am looking for a Hobie. If anyone has any Intel let me know. Looks like I missed the one sold few weeks back. Any advice looks like the new seats pretty bad ass? Worth the xtra Benjamin's?

Thanks fellas!

Definitely worth the extra money for the seat.

Since I started using the new Hobie seat, my back doesn't hurt anymore and my butt stays dry during long hours OTW.  If you can afford it get a 2015 or newer model.

personally i would go with the older one. i have a 2015 and 2014 and i don't think it's worth the extra money. the new seat takes up way more space and it's as comfortable as the older one with the air cushion. you will also lose the left hand side paddle holder

i personally like the seat as it is more comfy and keeps your ass dry. but I also dont like how you lose the left side paddle holder.

That plus the retarded cup holders on the newer ones.  I wonder who thought that one up, lets make it so shallow that nothing will stay inside.   :smt044 :smt044

Despite those negatives, I still like the new seats.  Just like others have already mentioned, better posture in new seat and you don't have to sit in pool of water.

The new seat is absolutely worth the money.  I'll be selling my 2015 around late July/early August, look me up if you haven't found anything by then.

If I was listing pluses of the 2015 revo, keeping my ass dry would not be one of them.  How are you guys keeping your ass dry?  Or is it just low seat position on the ocean will be wet no matter what?  I also dislike the stupid drain plug under the seat.

Use a beer cozy to keep your beer securely locked into your beerholder.  LOL!

Yeah the drain plug is pointless,I think it got added on just so they can say that it's there

The old seat style with the inflatable lumbar support gave me lower back discomfort after a couple hours.  The butt padding was bad specially when it got wet, I felt like sitting on wet towel.   I remediated this with gel pad.  I never went out on a trip without that gel pad.
The new lawn chair seat is way more comfortable and new venturi drain pushes the water out fast.  Save up and get a newer model.
You will be happier in the long run. :smt002

The drain plug works really well. If you get water under your seat you open the drain and peddle forward for a short time until the water drains out. The key is to remember to close the drain plug once you get the water out otherwise it just refills with even more water  :smt003. That one comes from experience!
