Hi,

I'm an SF native who has shore been fishing in the bay area for the past 10 years.  My main spots are around SF: Fort Point, Ocean Beach, Baker Beach, Crissy Fields.

Looking to get a kayak soon as I finally have some space to store it.

Looking forwards to learning as much as I can!

Thanks
Bdon

Bdon!  Welcome!  The places you'll go, the friends you'll meet, not to mention fighting and catching fish off a kayak you are going to love it.
See you on the water, ,SuperVato
PS what kind of kayak do you have your eye on?

What's up man, I'm new to these forums as well and am in the same boat you are, being a shore fisherman looking to get into kayaking.  I frequent those areas you fish a lot, especially around the gate. I've got a blue and black truck. If you see me say what's up.

Welcome!! i remember when i transition from shore fishing to kayak. it's a whole new world of fishing. I would recommend going to HMB and rent a kayak and take it out for how you feel on the water with someone. The possibility of seasick is real and it can ruin a great day out on the water. my friends always get seasick no matter how calm the water is.

hope to see you on the water.

Do you overcome seasickness over time or do you become a dramamine kayak fishing guy?

Welcome! I'd say I'm in the same boat as you, however, neither of us have one yet.
