cargo/roof basket

I have this on CL, but thought I would put it here as well.
Heavy duty custom made cargo roof rack / carrier. I made this rack for a camping project, but decided to make it out of aluminum instead; after I was half way done with it. This is brand new and never been used. You will not be disappointed!! Its made out of 1 inch square carbon steel tubing with 1/8 inch wall thickness. It is 60 1/8" long X 32 1/8" wide X 6" high (these are all outside measurements). All the tubing has been Tig welded, the expanded metal was Mig welded, and then whole thing painted with flat black Rustolium. Rack is strong enough to add as many accessories as you wanted. No guarantee's, but you could probably drive a big rig over it, and it would be fine!!This rack is perfect for a Jeep, Subaru, or any other camping/off road vehicle. Also perfect for mounting a Tepui tent system. $400 OBO, I have $300 just in materials alone. (Racks that are similarly made start at $500 +.)

Thanks guys! Yes I made it, had another guy in the shop help me with the bends, so I wouldn't waste materials . FYI, the NCKA price is $325

did you have a tempui on it? do you still have the tent?just wondering cause i want one of the tent but would like to see it in person first

No I do not have a Tepui. My daughter and her boyfriend have one. Let me know if you want to swing by and check it out.
