played hookey tues afternoon, got in by maybe 4 45 pm, good vis except the slanty sun rays were a bit distracting. Good structure,  only saw one medium ling out free swimming but lost him . Pretty slim pickings,  but overall great time, especially since i got to jump in with a good friend that i hadn't dived with in months

That visibility looks awesome!
Fish laugh when I paddle by.  Sometimes they laugh so hard they fall on my hook.

Pretty sure I know that spot!

Beautiful little area...  :smt007

But yeah, not super fishy....

If you go again, try swimming to south into the washing machine/boulder field...I've pulled piggy cabbies out of there each time I've gone...

Jim, I know exactly where you're talking about. I actually swam just into the beginning of that area, but the combination of surface aeration and the late sun extremely slanted rays made for almost zero vis from the surface. I had wasted too much time poking around other structure before going there.
Funny you mention the cabs. Just short of there is where my little one, Dana, popped her pb cab bit over 14 I think it was. Seemed like a stonker at the time compared to all the dinky yellow and blacks that are stashed all throughout the local structure. Thanks for the heads up. I just need to get in the water earlier and cover more ground.

Nice!!

Here's the vid from the first time I went there...you can see how shallow the big cab was...we were standing on top of the Boulder she was under.  :smt005

Glad you found something.  That pic looks awesome.  Did you use the Hawaii picture filter.

Jim, now I know where all the hogs are- in your freezer! That's a fattie for sure. What I really want to know is what kind of structure do those cold brews hide under? I just never seem to find em like you!
Here's a snap of my daughter's from a year or so ago, she actually is into photography, I would never take agood camera diving.
I got a laugh from your video. In another life, I'll have to pick up those skills!

No filter on that snap, just a cell phone. I posted it on instagram and on there I used the vignette adjustment because I like pics that fade toward the edges. cheers!
