Monterey weekday?

I will be in Monterey the 22-28 with my family.
I am hoping to get a couple days of fishing in.

Anyone wanna do a weekday fish?

I am a newbie and would love to tag along with someone.

I have all my safety equipment, except a radio, am a quick study and really excited to get back on the water.

last time (the only time) I went out of lovers point. I got caught in the kelp a few times before moving down the coast to try and find rocks.
any suggestions on a good spot to fish?

I am really hoping to catch a ling or two.

 Were going to be at Lovers point Saturday the 21st!

I might join you .  I usually have thurs/fri off . . Depends on how many wifey points I have when I return from GSX . I am pretty sure I can make it one of those days. PM you when we get closer.
