Mark- Make sure to tell Ed and Myron, you are a friend of Allen Bushnell.  There are three buoys you can use as reference out of Cap.  Sponge bob is shallow to the east.  A "mile Reef" buoy is straight out (it's not a mile).  and the SC # buoy is out and to the west in 70 fow.  there can be good fishing at any of these locations for lings and rockfish, and the posibility of halibut in between any of them as well.  Butts have been deep but are finally showing up.

PS.....NX is up and running well now, finally worked out the bugs.  New rubber, sweet ride!!

Seems like I met a kayak fisherman and all around good guy, a long time ago (like a fuck all long time now) while fishing from one of those skiffs...also seems IIke we had a couple of nice big halibut.

REPORT:

Beautiful day on the water. It was like a lake until 11AM. Saw a huge pod of dolphins. Fur bags were also around.  There were a couple of otters as well.

Fishing was slow. Wife and Little Girl had a great time loading up the sabikis with macks.  We bounced around SC3 for nothing. Moved in to Surfers for nothing. I wanted to hit the reefs off PP, but the fsmily didnt want to be so close to the breakès. We moved in to SpongeBob and the Wife finally caught 2 eater browns and my Daughter caught a tiny little blue as well.  Then the anchor rope snapped when the wind picked up.

Thank you to all for all the tips.  My makeshift drift anchor didn't work so that'll be on my to-do list. We found the sniff's actual anchor buried under all our jackets. :)  Overall, it was a great day on the water and a day I'll never forget.

Go figure, my Wife likes rockfishing now.
