Darkside???  I call it way good.  I too live on the Isle of Style, and I'm hoping to head out tomorrow ... local style.  Interested?

I would have to agree, it is waay good!! Good to know you're in the island too. I got daddy duty sat & sun [emoji57], wife is working both days. Would be awesome to link with you soon for some butt at ARW or the flats.

Good luck if you head out tomorrow, be safe.

As of lately the boat, the revo n outback sits in the garage. Probably will take it out soon. Hooking sturgeon on a kayak is on my wish list.

Niice, your rollin deep. Experiencing the sleigh ride has been in my wish list for a few years now. Hope I'll hook one this year!! Still need to install an anchor system.

Thanks Ben.  Turns out my home duties have taken over too.  ....Should have snuck out when I had the chance.  Let's do that ARW thing soon.

So why do folks think of the Revo's as "the Darkside?"  There are plenty of other boats that are rigged to the max.  I tried to fish from my trad sea kayak, and was that ever a fiasco in our very tidal and windy locale.  Having the hands free for fishing seems like a no-brainer to me.

Definitely need to hook up soon for ARW, been over a year since I've been out there.

I'm not too sure what the story behind it is, I think it's relating all Hobies with mirage drive. Guessing it's able to get to the dark side of the ocean quicker? hahaha! Wild guess, someone please chime in.

I had a T140, great yak but sold it once I got on the Revo & the hands free was icing on the cake.

SlackTide, I've been looking online for the kit too just for stability for the ocean. Not sure how many Revo 13 owners roll with them. Seen them goin for 180 and haven't seen them anywhere below that.

You guys are killin' me.   :smt005. The darkside refers to Hobies w/ Mirage drives... because, in the traditional sense of kayaking, propulsion is paddle driven, NOT pedal propelled.

Thus, you've crossed over in the the realm of easier trolling, eating a snack/enjoying a beverage while on the move, more efficiently covering distances, and generally being hands free instead of holding a paddle.

That's why it's the darkside... it always calls to those who haven't converted.  :smt044

It's only a matter of time before everyone joins the darkside.  :smt044
