my pay-for-forecast surfline forecast has light south winds early on saturday. they come up hard during the day and it's rainy and windy and stormy on sunday.

So if that forecast holds till saturday morning, you might get your hole early saturday.

Yep... looking ugly.  I'll wait and see how it plays out... will make a decision Friday night.

I NEED to fish somewhere this weekend... backup plans are being processed...

my forecast has the wind light through friday night, so it may be a case of just having to be ready to bail once you see the wind coming up.

are we starting to come back to the summer wind patterns.  Seems to me that during the summer the winds come strong around noon when the the tides swing at that time also.

There are other options for sturgeon for that day in other places.  pittsburg, martinez, pinole, lots of em if its ugly from the get go.  other than that i really want to get out at the honey hole.

Ek, Thanks for the info. (Buck's)  but I think I will head out to the Dumbarton and stay close to home. Good luck to all who head out Saturday and be safe. Frank

no it's not a summer wind pattern. just calm winds before the bigger blow I guess.

Wow... here are the choices I'm considering right now....

Bucks, China Camp, or Bullhead Flats with the big crew to the honey hole

Blackpoint at 9:30 with Mickfish (never been there before but would love to go)

Saturday or Sunday... I guess that depends on the better weather day since the tides both days are almost identical... just an hour later on Sunday... which means early rush to get out there.

Hmmmm.....  :smt017

If I WAS going to go I would launch straight out of China Camp about 200 yards out and call it good right there. That was where I got my only dino and if things get nasty you can be back to shore in no time.
Wish I had enough GAF to meet you guys there. I would even swing by and pick up Mooch so I could share my bait with someone. :smt005

Yep Tote... that's probably my plan if the weather looks even marginally do-able in the AM.  If not, I'll go perching in Bodega Bay.  Staying tuned.

Well, NOAA's still calling for five-to-ten on both Saturday and Sunday.  Iwindsurf.com increased their call for wind... now they're saying Sunday'll be blown out, too.  Hmmmmmm, who to trust?

I like Tote's idea... last time I went out I was muy mucho sick and only paddled about a mile... and got SLAMMED.  I haven't been true dino hunting in a month and a half.  This is the tide cycle for a full day (all day) of fishing.  If it is at all possible, I will be there... even if I have to hold on to the end of the pier with one hand to keep the kayak steady enough to whack that dino with the "Sturgy-be-good" stick.

wunderground still calling for 5-10 on Saturday also.

I wish ONE of these could be trusted, but I've been let down or surprised by just about all of them.

I was gonna take tomorrow off to go pump shrimp...but now I'm not so sure.  :smt011

We should've all just called in sick and went today.

I think I'm out fellas. I'm sure I'll see reports of how flat and nice it was out there... :smt010
